It looks like Rhapsody has rolled out an update in terms of their iOS and Android apps. The latest update seems to bring a few features including improvements in terms of music discovery as well as some social integration. According to the details coming from Rhapsody, the updates include My Radio, The Mix, integration with Facebook, Twitter and Gmail as well as speed improvements courtesy of a new “streamlined design.” Breaking each of these down a bit further and we have the following;

  • “My Radio” – A auto-generated playlist of 150 recently played songs that is used to provide music recommendations and facilitate connections to other like music-minded Rhapsody users.
  • Social integration – Connect with Facebook, Twitter and Gmail friends to see what they’re listening to and share what’s been on your speakers.
  • “The Mix” – Rhapsody Editor-made playlists, blog entries and round-ups designed to surface new tunes and old favorites.
  • Speed – The streamlined design makes it easier to find and play music, create playlists and search.

That being said, the Rhapsody apps can be found by way of the Android Market and the iOS App Store and while they come as a free download, there is a $10 per month charge to continue listening outside of your free trial period.
