Google Wallet rolled out for Sprint Nexus S 4G

So the earlier rumors are true. Google has just officially launched its Google Wallet App with the first version going to Sprint. Naturally, the Google Wallet app can now be used for the Sprint Nexus S 4g smartphone. If you own the device, you might want to check your device to see if the app has been pushed via over-the-air update. That’s the only way you can get installed on your phone. At least for the time being.

What does Google Wallet lets you do? Simple, it allows you to pay using your Citi MasterCard credit card and the Google Prepaid Card which can be funded with any of your existing credit cards. If you set up your Google Prepaid Card to work with Google Wallet, Google is giving you a bonus $10. Aside from Citi MasterCard, Google is expecting to have Visa, Discover and American Express enabled with Google Wallet payment facility soo as these companies have already submitted their NFC specs.

According to Google, this is just the beginning. And they expect to bring Google Wallet to more phones in the future.
