Philips GoGear Connect with Android 2.3 now available for pre-order with Jr.com

Philips unveiled their GoGear Connect portable media player just a short while back and it looks like it is already begun coming available for pre-order. So far, it looks like the pre-orders are limited to Jr.com, however they do have both the 8GB and 16GB models available. As for price, the 8GB model is $169.99 and the 16GB model is $199.99, both of which are noted as coming with free shipping. Otherwise, both models will share features to include Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Android Market access as well as a 3.2 inch display, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g, built-in speaker and a rear facing camera. All said and done, seems to be a fair price for a Wi-Fi only portable media player running Gingerbread — especially given the fact that it comes with Android Market access. That said, the one catch we see here — nothing indicated as to when these will actually begin shipping.
