Typically Apple chooses fairly large venues to show off the new iPhone, but this year is a bit different. This year it seems Apple has decided to launch the new phone at its own Town Hall Auditorium.
According the sources talking to All Things D, the event is currently scheduled for October 4 in the Apple Town Hall Auditorium. Why in the smaller venue? Potentially because the date hasn’t really bee set yet, there have been numerous rumors with many different dates for the new phone’s unveiling. Or it could be that the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts where Apple has announced other big products is booked for when Apple wants to make the announcement. Or it could just be that Tim Cook’s first big product announcement would go off better in a smaller, more intimate setting rather than having the new CEO speak to the huge audience that would fill the YBCA.
Whatever the reason, let’s hope Apple announces the date for the unveiling soon. This wait is terrible.
