It’s official. Apple will reveal the new iPhone or iPhones on October 4, 2011 at its headquarters in Cupertino, CA. This is just what AllThingsD reported on last week. Apple’s invitation doesn’t offer any hints regarding details of its announcements. Seeing as how we’ve been patient this long for an official word, waiting another week shouldn’t be too hard.
Rumors suggest Apple will reveal two iPhones. One could be a slightly redesigned iPhone 4, and the other will be the all-new iPhone 5. At the same time, other rumors state Apple will only reveal one iPhone that won’t be all that different from the iPhone 4.
The next iPhone isn’t expected to be released on the same day as the announcement. Based on various carrier leaks, the iPhone will likely be available less than two weeks after the press event.
