While AppleCare has always been a fairly nice thing to have, it looks like it has just gotten a bit better for those with an iPhone. Well, for those purchasing a new iPhone anyway. The newly announced version of AppleCare will be dubbed AppleCare+ and it will be available beginning October 14th. And in short, the AppleCare+ protection plan includes one really nice perk that other versions of AppleCare didn’t cover — accidental damage. More specifically, AppleCare+ will cover “up to two incidents of accidental damage due to handling, each subject to a $49 service fee.” Otherwise, the rest of the AppleCare perks are still available including “repair coverage and technical support to two years from the original purchase date.”
