LG’s two myTouch smartphones for T-Mobile was leaked ahead of time thanks to some YouTube videos and a release schedule leak that occurred months ago. Sure enough, what was known as the LG Maxx and LG Maxx Q, will now be called the myTouch and myTouch Q.
Both of these devices are mid-range Android smartphones that are meant for users that are just coming over to the smartphone way of life. Both devices will come with software that guides new users through the process of learning how to set up their email and social networking connections.
Besides the differences in screen size and a physical keyboard, the myTouch and myTouch Q have identical specs. The myTouch has a 3.8-inch screen with no keyboard, and the myTouch Q has a 3.5-inch screen with a slide-out keyboard. Both phones run Android 2.3, are powered by a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor and have a 5 megapixel rear camera. Only the myTouch has a front-facing camera as well.
Both phones will be released this holiday season. Prices for the myTouch and myTouch Q are not set yet.
