Verizon Samsung Stratosphere

Verizon Wireles and Samsung Mobile today has just announced the availability of the new Samsung Stratosphere smartphone starting October 13. Also a Galaxy S phone, the Samsung Stratosphere earned the bragging rights of being the first 4G LTE smartphone with a five-row QWERTY keyboard. Geared for the business professional, the Samsung Stratosphere features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, a 1.3MP front-facing camera and 5MP rear-facing camera with autofocus and flash. This camera also has 720p HD playback and 480p DVD-quality recording. Plus, several other usual features that you’ll normally find in a Galaxy S smartphone. As a business smartphone, the Samsung Stratosphere boasts of support of Samsung Enterprise Platform enhancements including VPN encryption and Mobile Device Management. In addition, it supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSyn, Cisco AnyConnect 2.1 SSL VPN, and support Sybase Afaria. The Samsung Stratosphere can be had for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate plus two-year contract agreement with Verizon Wireless.
