Box iOS

Box has a very tempting promotion for iOS users. Starting on Friday, Box will give users of its iOS app a whopping 50GB of free cloud storage. Once you take advantage of the promotion, your 50GB of space will stick with you no matter what device you’re using Box on. Box is offering this promotion for 50 days, so you have plenty of time to take advantage of this offer.

In order to claim your space, you have to sign in to your Box account (or make a new one) from the Box iOS application. That’s all you have to do. Just remember this promotion begins Friday. You also need to have updated to the latest version of the Box app for this to work.

There are some potential drawbacks as well. Box will only let you upload a maximum of 100MB at a time. This means you probably won’t be using Box to store full albums and videos. If you want more upload space, you’ll have to pay for it.

Overall, if a company is offering you 50GB of free storage, it’s best to not complain about it.

Hmm, it is Friday, at least here in Finland and I'm using Box with my iPhone running iOS 5. No sign of 50GB storage…

OK, had to upgrade the app first.
