Walmart’s layaway promo offers up the iPhone 4S for $188, plus more Christmas offers

Walmart today has launched its Christmas layaway program adding top Apple products and other popular electronics and toys under the promo. This layaway program is Walmart’s way of providing parents and other consumers to make bite-size payments for various consumer products that they plan to give to their kids. The program enables you to pre-purchase these products by paying a 10% down payment now and then pick up your goods starting December 16. This is a way prevents you from spoiling the gift surprises to your kids. Topping the list of products on Walmart’s layaway program is of course one of the hottest electronic products right now, the iPhone 4S. Walmart is offering the 16GB iPhone 4S (Verizon) for only $188 on contract. This is $10 cheaper than the offering of other retailers. Also included on the Walmart layaway program are other Apple products such as Apple iPad 2 16GB ($499), iPad 2 32GB ($599), iPod Touch 32GB ($278.98) and iPod Nano 8GB ($129.86). And if you’re planning to get any of these products, you may want to visit a Walmart Store nearest you as the retailer will be providing in-store displays of these products to allow customers to test the products before buying them.
