Pogoplug Mobile streaming device available now

Pogoplug has just announced the availability of its new Pogoplug Mobile device, featuring a new, sleek design which should look great on your desk. For those who are unaware, Pogoplug Mobile allows you to free up your smartphone and tablets of content by letting you stream them from the Pogoplug instead. You can stream your entire photo, music and video libraries over WiFi or your cellular connection. This means that your phone or tablet will now have more room for more apps. Pogoplug Mobile also automatically backs up photos and videos taken using your devices to your Pogoplug device at home. The device has a USB 2.0 slot and to make it even more useful, the new Pogoplug Mobile also has an SD card slot.

Together with the release of the new Pogoplug Mobile, Pogoplug also announced that owners of the older devices will receive an upgrade later that will bring the Pogoplug Mobile features to your device. To use the mobile backup feature, you need to download the Pogoplug app from the App Store or Android Market and set your upload preferences for backing up photos and videos from your devices’ camera roll. You can choose to back up automatically, or upload content manually. Pogoplug Mobile is available now for $79.99.
