Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is coming

Right off it’s success with the Eee Pad Transformer, Asus is teasing it’s successor, the Transformer Prime. According to Asus, the Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be better than it’s predecessor in every way.

Asus claims that the Transformer Prime will be “faster, stronger, slimmer, and of course, sexier” than the previous Eee Pad Transformer. Of course, to make the new tablet that much better it has to have a new CPU, so the Prime will carry Nvidia’s next Tegra chip, currently code-named Kal-El. With the new quad-core CPU it should be much faster than the current Transformer which only has a dual-core CPU. Of course, we also know that the Eee Pad Transformer will pack Ice Cream Sandwich instead of Honeycomb. We’ll have to wait and see how that effects it’s performance, however. For now, we’ll just have to deal with Asus’ teaser page for the upcoming tablet.
