Vizio 8-inch Wi-Fi tablet drops to $199 with Amazon

It looks like the price of the Vizio 8-inch Wi-Fi Android tablet has dropped over on Amazon. The tablet, which was priced at $299 can now be purchased at a $100 discount — it is just $199. And nicely done, that is $199 with free shipping. Suddenly the Vizio tablet seems a bit more appealing, and also a bit more of a competitor to the Amazon Kindle Fire. In terms of specs, the Vizio tablet features an 8 inch display, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of (user accessible) internal storage, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, a VGA quality front facing camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. And of course, the Vizio tablet is packed with apps including the more recently rolled-out support for Netflix and Hulu.

It's a really nice tablet. The only complaints I had is that you can't uninstall the Hulu, Netflix and Nook apps if you don't want them. Also, it doesn't come with a media player app. (Doubletwist is a great option to fix that.)
