Motorola has just announced two new tablet offerings, the Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition. But before you get excited about these two new Motorola Xoom tablets, let me remind you as quickly — they have been announced for the European market only, hopefully just for now. The two tablets are both Wi-Fi enabled and offer improvements from the first Xoom tablet. The Motorola Xoom 2 has the same 10.1-inch HD screen display as its predecessor and Android 3.2 Honeycomb for its OS. However, unlike the original Xoom, the Xoom 2 sports a brighter and more vibrant display. Additionally, the design of the tablet was also enhanced and was made to be more comfortable when holding it. Battery life of the Xoom 2 is at 10 hours maximum.
Meanwhile, the Motorola Xoom Media Edition features a smaller 8.2-inch display and its display quality was improved by 20% as compared to the original Xoom tablet. It also has adaptive virtual surround sound with “booming” bass. Both Motorola Xoom tablets feature 1.2GHz dual-core processors, 1.3MP front and 5MP cameras with digital zoom, auto focus and LED flash. Both tablets are scheduled for release mid-November and you can pre-order your unit from Carphone Warehouse by following the link below.
