For our dear reader in the UK, I personally am so envious of you. You know why? Because it seems that come November 17, you’ll have the honor of getting first dibs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on an actual smartphone. Samsung has confirmed that it is on track at releasing the Galaxy Nexus, the first device to officially run Android 4.0. And that’s possibly ahead of everyone one of us. Via an official announcement, Samsung’s Head of Mobile for its UK and Ireland office, Simon Stanford confirmed this by saying that – “we’re delighted to introduce the Galaxy Nexus to the UK and are looking forward to seeing it in the UK shops on the 17th of November.” He also said that the level of interest and anticipation surrounding the release of the Galaxy Nexus has been so far too fantastic. To make our non-UK readers (including) feel more envious, let me remind you all that the Galaxy Nexus aside from running Android 4.0 also features a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 5MP camera, rounded design, and 1.2GHz dual core processor. So, good luck to all those who will be getting this nice Android handset on the 17th in the U.K.
