Radio Shack recently got in touch with us here at Gadgetell and not only told us about the smartphone sale they were having, but they also sent a few handsets over to the office. The sale includes 25 free smartphones which come as a mix of devices from Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Sprint. Of course, the catch with the offer, they are free on a two-year agreement. In other words, as a two-year agreement is pretty standard in the US, there really is no reason not to shop with Radio Shack if you are looking for a smartphone on any of those previously mentioned carriers. Anyway, going into full disclosure mode, the box that Radio Shack sent over included a Samsung Stratosphere for Verizon, an HTC EVO Design 4G for Sprint and the Samsung Infuse 4G for AT&T. That being said, having had an empty line on a Verizon account we first began playing with the Stratosphere. In short, a more in-depth review will follow, but we were pleasantly surprised at how nice this device feels and works. And just to offer a brief recap, the Stratosphere is an Android 2.3 device with 4G LTE connectivity, a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and flash.
