Google begins pushing Chromebooks using the New Tab page in the Chrome browser

Well look what we have here, Google is doing a little Chromebook advertising. Of course, we saw the announcement of the price drop yesterday. And for those who missed it, the Chromebooks (with wi-Fi) have been dropped in price and are now selling for $299. That aside though, the Chromebook advertising is being done by way of a simple one line of text in the ‘New Tab’ page in the Chrome browser. And for those wondering, a click of the “Get a Chromebook for the holidays” link takes you to a page which tells a bit about the Chromebook and offers an option to Buy Now. Bottom line, nothing over the top here, but at the same time it is nice to see Google pushing these notebooks just a little bit harder.
