According to a report by Netbook news, the upcoming Asus Transformer Prime, complete with a NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and Android 3.2, will be available in the United States starting December 8th. If you live in Taiwan, the Android tablet with the optional docking keyboard station will be available a week earlier on the first of December. Unfortunately, those in Europe wishing to purchase the Transformer Prime will have to wait until January of 2012.

We had a hunch the Asus Transformer Prime would be available on December 8th in the United States since many retailers began posting pre-order pages and Newegg even posted a Dec. 8th release date for the tablet. However, it is nice to see an official confirmation from Asus. A quick recap of specs includes a 10.1 inch touch screen display, 32GB of onboard memory, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear facing camera, 1.2MP front facing camera, and will receive an upgrade to Android 4.0 in the near future. It will cost $499 when it becomes available for purchase.
