Dropbox, Box.net and other file sharing service with mobile apps just got a new rival as Microsoft released its Skydrive iPhone app. For those who will recall, Skydrive is Microsoft’s Google Docs-like service which is tied up with the suit of services offered by Microsoft Live. Microsoft describes Skydrive as your personal cloud for documents, notes, photos, and videos allowing you to move your files and make them available from any web browser. Recently, Skydrive was enhanced through HTML5 and CSS3, making access even faster. Now, comes this iPhone app which lets you do the following:
Access all of your SkyDrive content including files shared with you
View recently used documents
Upload photos or videos from your phone
Share a link to any file using email
Create folders. Delete files or folders
The app also lets you upload photos or videos that you’ve taken using your iPhone immediately after you’ve taken or captured them. Skydrive for iPhone is available now as a free download from the App Store.
