The folks over at Evernote have rolled out another update in terms of their iOS app. This latest update arrives as version 4.1.7 and brings some features for the free users as well as the premium users. Beginning first with the goodies that will be available for all users — Evernote version 4.1.7 now includes notebook sharing on both the iPhone (iPod touch) and the iPad. This one is similar to the note sharing, except now instead of sharing a single note you are sharing an entire notebook.

  • iPhone: From the Notebooks screen, tap Edit, tap the notebook, choose Share this Notebook
  • iPad: From the Notebooks screen, tap Edit, tap the notebook, tap the Share icon

From the Sharing Screen, users will be able to add new people, remove people modify existing access and also stop sharing. As for the premium features, while everyone can share notebooks, the premium users can also allow others to edit the content of their notebooks. Otherwise, another premium only feature that has arrived with 4.1.7 is the ability to take entire notebooks offline.

And lastly, this latest build is also noted as having “a number of under-the-hood improvements, which are said to include having made Evernote “significantly more responsive during the note editing process.”
