According to a new report, Acer and Lenovo are preparing to launch tablet PCs running Windows 8 in Q3. The devices will feature Intel’s upcoming “Clover Trail” chipset. Theses new chips will offer better performance and power consumption.
While Intel is set to release their Medfield processor in the first half of the year, PC companies are vesting more interest in the Clover Trail platform due to its technical superiority.
Apple still held a good majority of the market at a comfortable 60% in 2011 and will undoubtedly retain the number one spot in 2012.
