“Lilyhammer” kicks off Netflix’s original programming for 2012

Netflix previously announced it will debut original programming that wouldn’t be available anywhere else. Today, the company announced its new series called Lilyhammer will be available to watch instantly on February 6, 2012 in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
Lilyhammer stars Steven Van Zandt (from The Sopranos and the E Street Band). He plays a mobster that rats on his boss in exchange for a new start in a Norwegian town called Lillehammer. Lilyhammer will consist of eight episodes in its first season.
Netflix also released a trailer for Lilyhammer on YouTube.
