We first saw information for the AT&T’s first waterproof 4G LTE leak five days ago. Today, at AT&T’s Developer Summit, the Pantech Element was officially announced and pricing and availability information has been confirmed. Starting January 22nd, the Element will be available for purchase for $300 on a two year contract and for $450 off contract.
The Element by Pantech contains a 8.9 inch touch screen display, Android 3.2, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a 5MP rear facing camera, and a 2MP front facing camera. Unfortunately, there is no word on whether or not it will be upgraded to Android 4.0, but I believe it has the hardware capable to handle the software upgrade .
Again, it will be available for purchase starting January 22nd at an affordable price considering it’s high-end nature and 4G LTE connectivity.
