During Sony’s CES 2012 press conference on Monday, the company introduced its 4K digital motion picture camera.  All the bells and whistles included in this camera are lost on me, but I do know this camera is capable of shooting videos at 4,000 times higher resolution than HD. In other words, the images this camera produces are even more real than real life.

I stumbled upon this beast of cinematic bliss while waking around Sony’s space on the CES 2012 show floor. I took a few images and placed them in a gallery for your viewing pleasure. I can assure you the images are not in 4K resolution. I’m not sure the internet is ready for that yet.

The gallery can be found below.

Wow… More real than real life? 4k has been around for a while, in fact here Sony is slowly attempting to catch up to RED, which already boasts a 5K camera, already for sale. And please don’t throw around ridiculous terms like 4000 times higher than HD. It sounds like an overcompensating high schooler trying to comment on his first out-of-town excursion.
