At the start of CES we found out about Nokia’s next Windows Phone, the Lumia 900, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see the Lumia 800 in the United States. The Lumia 800 will actually be making its way to North America, but you won’t be able to find it at a carrier store in the US.
Americans will have to go to a Microsoft store either in person or online to get their very own Lumia 800. The phone will have bands that will allow it to work on AT&T, but it sounds more like the smartphone will be unlocked. Unfortunately, the release date for the phone hasn’t been announced quite yet and neither has the price.
Canadians, however, will be able to get the Lumia 800 through TELUS. Again, there is no mention of a release date or pricing information.
Both Americans and Canadians will be able to get the Lumia in black, cyan, or magenta. I’ll take the cyan version almost every time, though the magenta looks pretty great as well.
