US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S II FCC filingThe big carriers are moving onto the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy Note, but US Cellular is soon going to get the previous best Samsung smartphone available. The Samsung Galaxy S II has just passed through the FCC again, this time heading for the smaller carrier.

The US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S II has the model number SCH-R760, though it hasn’t been officially announced yet. Because this is just a basic FCC filing we don’t know how much different this version of the phone will be from the ones we saw on AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile last year. It should still have the 4.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus screen, 8MP camera, dual-core CPU, and the latest version of TouchWiz laid on top of Android.

We’ll still have to wait for US Cellular and Samsung to make an official announced, but at least we now know that it’s coming. The regional carrier is also said to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the near future, but that hasn’t come through the FCC yet. With any luck, it should come around the same time as the Galaxy S II.
