Not too long after releasing a software update for the HTC EVO 3D that ultimately removed Carrier IQ from the device, Sprint has set its sights on three more smartphones with the same intentions. The HTC EVO 4G, Samsung Epic 4G and HTC EVO Design 4G have all gotten software updates as of January 19. While each device benefits from different improvements, all of them received a “security update” that rids them of Carrier IQ software.

The HTC EVO 4G and HTC EVO Design 4G updates can be downloaded and installed right now. The update for the Samsung Epic 4G will be rolled out to customers over the next 10 days.

The list of fixes for each device covers things such as battery life, an update to HTC’s Peep client and changes to specific apps such as QIK and Asphalt 5.
