The White House has gotten pretty busy on social media recently, joining Tumblr and Instagram in the past few months, and now it has joined Google+.

The White House’s Google+ page will carry the same sort of information you’d find on it’s other social network profiles: news from the blog, photos, and video of the President and behind-the-scenes information. To make the Google+ page different The White House promises to use Google+ Hangouts. To be more specific, there are plans to invite some Google+ users to hangouts to “have a conversation with policy experts.” So far there’s only mention of administration officials using Hangouts to discuss topics like the economy and technology. Hopefully that means President Obama will involved in at least one. A Google+ Hangout with the President sounds like the best use of the network I can imagine.
