The Droid RAZR MAXX will be available on Verizon starting this Thursday, January 26, and it will cost $299 on a two-year contract. That $299 will buy you an 8.9mm thick Android smartphone with a 3300mAh battery which is positively tremendous as far as batteries go. Everything else like Smart Actions, the 16GB of built-in storage,, the dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, the 8MP rear-facing camera, and 4G LTE radio is the same as the original Droid RAZR. The only really difference is in the overall thickness and the fact that the RAZR MAXX will definitely last you a full day, an possibly even two or three depending on usage.
The price is a bit steep, and the screen hasn’t been improved at all, but the Droid RAZR MAXX is definitely worth picking up if you constantly find yourself running out of battery at the end of the day.
