We saw the rumors and we had gotten the official confirmation from Verizon Wireless — the Droid RAZR MAXX was going to be available beginning on January 26th. Well, it looks like today is that day and those who had been waiting can now move forward and make a purchase.
The Droid RAZR MAXX comes priced (as we had expected) at $299.99 on a two-year agreement. Bottom line here, the handset is available for sale and can be purchased by visiting a Verizon retail store, calling telesales or shopping online from the comfort of home.
In terms of the handset itself, the Droid RAZR MAXX measures in at just 8.99mm thick thin and is being touted as the “longest-lasting smartphone on the block.” According to Verizon Wireless;
“Customers can have a smartphone with the endurance to talk on the phone for more than 21 hours straight on a single charge.”
That aside though, the handset will be running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread and sporting goodies to include 4G LTE connectivity, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, front facing camera, 8 megapixel rear facing camera with 1080p HD video recording and 32GB of total storage. And just to clarify that storage, we should point out that comes from 16GB of internal storage and an included in the box 16GB microSD card.
