Nokia Lumia 800

The Nokia Lumia 800 is coming to the US only through Microsoft Stores, and it will get there on Valentine’s Day. The Lumia 800 will only be available as part of a $899 bundle.

According to The Verge, the Nokia Lumia 800 bundle will pack not just the smartphone, but the Nokia Play 360 Wireless Speaker, Purity HD Stereo Speaker, and an in-ear Bluetooth headset. There aren’t supposed to be any plans to sell the 800 without the bundle, so you’ll have to want everything in the bundle to justify the price. The smartphone itself is carrier unlocked, so you can bring it to either AT&T or T-Mobile in the US. That account for most of the price.

The bundle right now is only said to be for black, cyan, or magenta. The newly announced white version should be coming “soon,” but likely not on the same day. If the price holds true, it effectively means that only die-hard Nokia fans will pick up the Lumia 800 in the US. It’s sad, but if the Lumia 900 comes out for $99, I’m sure we’ll just forget about the overpriced 800.
