It looks like there is a bit of good news for anyone that is sporting an HP TouchPad tablet and waiting on the release of CyanogenMod 9. Well, not good news in the form of an updated (non-Alpha) release, but good news in that HP has handed over some source code that will help the CyanogenMod team further their development. At this point the details as to what this will bring are scarce, however here is what was noted over on the RootzWiki user forums;

“HP supports the community and was kind enough to provide us with the Android kernel source and some other GPL components that they modified for the few Touchpads that were accidentally released running Android.”
