We of course still need an official announcement, however it looks like MetroPCS will soon be launching another 4G capable Android smartphone. The handset is expected to arrive as the Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G, however some may better remember the handset as the Samsung Galaxy S Conquer 4G which launched with Sprint back in August of last year.
Anyway, the handset is sporting the model number of SCH-R940 and aside from the above images we have the specs, which again, will be familiar for those who know the Conquer 4G. That being said, for those who may have missed that bit, the Galaxy S Lightray 4G will bring goodies to include a 3.5 inch touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 3.2 megapixel rear-facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
With that, we await the official word from MetroPCS which will hope come soon (and along with a specific release date and some pricing).
