Huawei intros Ascend D Quad, and two other quad-core smartphones

We’ve got to hand it over to Huawei for making one of the most interesting announcements at Mobile Web Congress. The company has just announced three new quad-core smartphones in its 2012 line-up. Topbilled by the Huawei Ascend D Quad, these new Huawei smartphones boast of K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz/1.5GHz processors which according to Huawei is the fastest in the world so far. The Ascend D Quad also features a 4.5-inch 720p HD touchscreen display and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The device’s screen display employs 32-bit true color graphic processor with PPI 330 that provides crystal clear display even under direct sunlight. This is complimented by Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and Audience earSmart voice technology. Other features of the Ascend D Quad include – an 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1080p full HD video capture and playback, and it runs on 1800mAh battery which should lasts you for up to two days normal usage. Aside from the Ascend D Quad, Huawei is also bringing out the Ascend D Quad XL and Ascend  D1 smartphones. The difference of these two devices from the Ascend D Quad is very minimal except for the battery packs and design with the Ascend D quad XL having a 2500mAh battery and the Ascend D1 using 1670mAh battery. The Huawei Ascend quad series smartphones will be available in Q2 2012.
