The new Apple iPad was announced a week ago by an enthusiastic Tim Cook, and now we know that it will officially be on sale starting 8AM local time in just two days.
Ten countries will be able to purchase the new iPad starting on March 16 including: US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland and the UK. In addition, the iPad 2’s price cut by a $100 across all of the models will begin at 8AM on Friday as well.
Apple is offering the 16GB and 32GB WiFi only models, as well as the 16GB and 32GB models with 4G LTE connectivity through AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Pricing ranges from $499 to $829 depending on which variant you prefer. There is no pricing or hardware difference between the AT&T and Verizon Wireless models.
