Facebook is rolling out a slight change to its photo viewer today. Instead of reducing photos to a window that is flanked by a list of comments, Facebook is allowing Chrome and Firefox users to expand their photos to fill up their screens. At the same time, photos will be shown at higher resolutions than before.
Depending on the size of your monitor, Facebook says your photos could be displayed four times larger than before. All you have to do is click the expansion arrow that will be located on the top right of the photo.
This should allow more serious photographers to share their work in the way they intend.
At the time of this writing, Facebook hasn’t pushed this enhancement to my account yet. Keep checking your account throughout the day.
