The HTC One S is T-Mobile’s next high-end and flagship Android smartphone slated to launch sometime this Spring. The One series, by HTC, was first announced at Mobile World Congress 2012, but the Taiwanese based company never announced when the device would launch and at what pricepoint.
However, today, TmoNews is reporting that the One S for T-Mobile is going to launch on April 22, which is a Sunday about three weeks away from now. Since the One S is going to launch in Europe about a week from today, it does make sense that HTC will launch the One S in America shortly after its European launch. With this in mind, some are assuming this rumor to be false since it should launch within a week or two after Europe, not three weeks after. However, this would not be the first time an American variant was severely delayed following a launch in an overseas market.
In terms of specs and features, the One S will launch with Android 4.0, a 4.3 inch touch screen display, 4G connectivity, Beats Audio integration, 8MP rear facing camera, front facing camera, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and 1GB of RAM. Overall, the device will take over as the flagship smartphone on T-Mobile, and hopefully we will see a launch on April 22 or earlier.
