Toshiba also announced the new thinner and lighter Satellite L800 and Satellite C800 series laptops. Those who are familiar with Toshiba’s laptop products will know that this series is the company’s mainstream consumer laptops and thus provide variety of configurations options as well as screen sizes and colors. According to Toshiba, the Satellite L800 series combines contemporary styling, functionality and mobility, making the laptops ideal for families, students and small business owners. Feature-wise, the Toshiba L800 series features 3rd Generation Intel Core processors or AMD Accelerated Processing Units, HD TruBrite displays in 14-, 15.6- and 17.3-inch displays, full-sized raised tile keyboards, multi-touch control trackpad, SRS Premium Sound HD, HD webcam, HDMI port and Blu-ray Disc for select configurations. The Toshiba Satellite C800 Series on the other hand features Intel and AMD processors, up to 500GB HD, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, Media Card REader, HDMI port, webcam with face recognition technology, DVD drive, and full-size keyboard. Screen size options for this series is either 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch. The Toshiba Satellite L845 Series laptops retails starting at $449.99, L855 series laptops starting at $499.99, L875 starting at $599.99 and C800 series starting at $399.99. All laptops will be available starting Q3 2012.
