Those who are sporting an Android smartphone that happen to old enough to have played the Mattel Electronic Football electronic game that came out back in 1978 — you now have an app that will likely bring back some memories. The app is called LED Football and it has arrived by way of the Amazon Appstore. The LED Football app is priced at $1.99 and simply put, it “recreates the classic 1978 Mattel Electronic Football.” Coming from the Amazon Appstore description;

“It’s the big game. Computer’s on defense. You’re the ball carrier! Cut back, avoid tacklers, and run for daylight. Score a touchdown and hear the victory sound. It’s just like you remember.”

And while I have yet to download and play this version, I have been playing the iOS version which has been out for some time now. That said, if you grew up in the late-70’s and early-80’s — this is $2 well spent.
