Verizon Wireless has recently rolled-out an updated version of the My Verizon app for Android. This latest update arrives as version 10.0.229 and maintains the requirement of Android 1.6 or later for use. The app, as one would expect is free to download and also free to use. The changes include the following;

  • Redesigned to provide streamlined interface & optimal performance.
  • View usage, billing & payments, price plan & features, profile, and more.
  • Dashboards with links to popular options to manage your account faster and easier than ever, all from the palm of your hand!

Otherwise, Verizon did make mention that “some” devices may require a restart in order to prevent recurring upgrade notifications. And lastly, Verizon is also suggesting that you re-install the widget after the app has been updated. For that, you will need to do a long press on some empty space on your Home screen and then select Widget and choose My Verizon Data.
