Google Goggles for Android has recently been updated for Android. The updated app is available by way of Google Play and now sits at version 1.8 with support for devices running Android 2.2 or later. This update is on the smaller side, however it does appear to still be decent. According to the what’s new section in Google Play Google Goggles has had improvements for Continuous Mode. More specifically, these changes include;

  • In Continuous Mode, the recognized objects that you tap on are now saved to your Search History.
  • Barcode recognition in Continuous mode is now twice as fast.
