Netgear has announced that their next-generation, blazing fast Wi-fi router, model R6300, will be available next month for $200. This new device features the fifth generation Wi-fi protocol, 802.11ac, with theoretical speeds of up to 1.3 Gbps. Other features include DNLA support and 2 USB ports for adding and sharing printers and hard drives. This router is perfect for all you cutting-edge gadget enthusiasts, but its worth noting that there aren’t any 802.11ac compatible devices out there to take advantage of those exceptional wireless data transfer speeds, but this new wireless protocol is backwards compatible with 802.11n and 802.11g, so all your existing gadgets will happily work.
