Those using the Shortmail app on an iPhone may want to grab this latest update. Especially so if you often deal with issues of connectivity. The Shortmail app has been updated which brings the app up to version 1.5.0. More important than the version number though is what the update brings in terms of new features. This latest brings offline support. According to the folks over at Shortmail;

“This version supports full offline operation and is designed to allow you to do work while you’re off the grid, and seamlessly sync when returning online.”

Additionally, this update also added a new feature called “chill.” This is sort of what it sounds like — you can set a message to chill. Or more specifically, the “new “Chill” feature allows you to put a message on ice until a specified date, when it will return to your inbox.”

This update also brings support for Shortmail Connect which allows you to import email from other IMAP accounts as well as the ability to report individual messages as spam, the ability to delete a conversation and a faster and “More robust” search.

Finally, Shortmail for iOS requires iOS 5.0 or later for use and remains available as an app that is both free to download and free to use.
