Skype for iPhone and iPad now at version 4.0

Those using Skype on an iOS device may want to fire up the App Store and download the latest. Yup, Skype for iOS has been updated. And nicely done, both the iPhone and iPad versions have gotten the latest. Both have gone up to version 4.0 and both remain compatible with and iPad, iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later. That all being said, with one exception the changelog is the same for the iPhone and iPad version of Skype 4.0.

• App auto restarts if unexpectedly shut down
• Improved accessibility
• Improved stability
• New sign in screen
• Other minor UI improvements
• Bug fixes

As for that one exception, that came on the iPhone version of the app. Skype 4.0 for iPhone also included an updated design for contacts and messages.
