As promised recently, Spotify has just made their native app for the iPad available in the iOS App Store. The Spotify iPad app is now available in both the US and UK with some nice features such as support for the retina graphics of the new iPad. The other notable features of the app include an easy to browse and explore interface, a “now playing” full screen view with high-definition cover art, the ability to search for playlists, users and music all on the same view, the ability to check out what’s hot and find trending playlists and songs, grouping of inbox by user for easy searching, gapless playback and crossfade and AirPlay integration.

As a reminder, Spotify (on mobile devices) requires a Premium subscription. If you haven’t subscribed to the service yet, you can still avail of the 30-day Spotify Premium free trial to find out for yourself whether you will like the service. But, there’s a slim chance that you won’t like it, so better be prepared to subscribe to the Premium package to enjoy Spotify on your iPad. The Spotify iPad app is now available as a free download from the App Store. And watch the demo video to make you appreciate the iPad app some more.
