It looks like Boost Mobile will soon have a WiMAX 4G powered smartphone available. The handset is the HTC EVO Design 4G and according to details provided thus far, the handset will be available beginning on May 31st. Boost Mobile will be selling the EVO Design 4G on a contract-free basis with a $299.99 price point and have it paired with the $55 Android Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinking Payments. This plan includes unlimited nationwide talk, text messaging, Web, email and calls to 411. As to the shrinking payments, that is described as follows;
“For every six on-time payments, the cost of Boost Mobile’s Monthly Unlimited plan shrinks by $5, eventually getting down to as low as $40 a month.”
Otherwise, the EVO Design 4G will bring features to include a 4-inch qHD touchscreen display, 1.2GHz processor, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, a 5 megapixel rear facing camera and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Finally, those interested in getting the EVO Design 4G with Boost Mobile will be able to do so at Boost retail shops and at www.boostmobile.com. And then later, sometime “in June” the handset will be available with other retailers including Best Buy, Radio Shack and Walmart.
