For awhile I thought that Nokia was about to abandon its old habit of coming out with low-end, budget-friendly phones. I was wrong. Today in Pakistan, Nokia has introduced two new phones along this line – the Nokia 110 and Nokia 112. Geared for the young, urban consumers who want to experience fast, affordable online experience, these two new phones support Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites with both providing access from the homescreens.
According to Nokia both phones come pre-loaded with the Nokia Browser which will let you consume less data (by up to 90%) by compressing websites in the cloud. There will also be the eBuddy IM service which you can use right out of the box. For more apps, both the Nokia 110 and Nokia 112 have access to the Nokia Store.
Other features of the Nokia 110 and Nokia 112 include – 1.8-inch display, VGA camera, 32GB external memory, Bluetooth, and long battery life. Before we forget, these two phones are also dual SIM capable with Easy Swap technology which lets you switch between SIMs quickly without having to remove the battery.
The Nokia 110 will also be available in a single SIM version and will be known as the Nokia 111 and 113 but only in Europe and Eurasia. The estimated price tag for the Nokia 110 is around EUR 35 while the Nokia 112 will be priced around EUR 38. Both the Nokia 110 and Nokia 112 will be available in the third quarter of 2012 in select countries.
