Flipboard app for iOS has just been updated to a new version, bringing in the ability to listen to audio from SoundCloud as well as radio programming from NPR and Public Radio International (PRI). This means that after you’ve updated Flipboard on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch you can now listen to audio while reading content you’re subscribed to. In addition to this feature, Flipboard is also now more friendly with those with visual disabilities as the app has integrated Apple’s VoiceOver features. The next time you fire up Flipboard after installing the update, you’ll see a new “Audio” category added to the Content Guide. The Audio category gives you NPR and PRI programs including segments from shows such as Fresh Air and PRI’s The World. You’ll also be able to access recommendations of SoundCloud users. Other new features of the updated Flipboard iOS app include – fully localized Japanese edition for readers in Japan, the ability to add multiple sections at one time from the Content Guide using the plus sign next to the publication, introduction of tips to discover and improved photo layouts. Flipboard app is now available as a free download from the App Store.
