US Cellular announces some new pre-paid plans

It looks like US Cellular has done some updating on their pre-paid calling plans. Effective today, the carrier has announced three new pre-paid plans, all of which are available with a variety of devices and feature nationwide coverage with no roaming charges. The plans begin at $35 per month and break down as follows;

  • Nationwide 400 minutes voice, 400 text messages, 400 picture messages – $35/month
  • Nationwide unlimited voice, unlimited messaging, 2GB smartphone data – $65/month
  • Nationwide unlimited voice, unlimited messaging, 1GB feature data – $50/month

Otherwise, as far as the pre-paid devices are concerned, that list includes a mix of Android powered smartphones and some messaging style handsets. The full list includes;

  • Android-powered smartphones: Samsung Galaxy S II, Motorola ELECTRIFY, HTC Merge, Samsung Mesmerize, Huawei Ascend II, HTC Wildfire S, and Samsung Repp
  • Messaging phones: Pantech Verse, Samsung Character, LG Saber, Samsung Freeform 4, Pantech CDM8635US, and Samsung Chrono 2
