Sprint announces the Galaxy S III smartphone; pre-orders will begin on June 5th with actual availability on June 21st

Coming in as the fourth of five US carriers, Sprint has become the latest to offer release details for the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone. And nicely done, Sprint has come forward with lots of details. Just to begin with, the Galaxy S III will be available for pre-order beginning on June 5th. The regular availability will then follow on June 21st.

The Galaxy S III will be available with Sprint in the 16GB and 32GB varieties and priced at $199.99 and $249.99 respectively. The handset will also be available in Pebble Blue as well as Marble White. Otherwise, the specs are the same as we have been mentioning and include the 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear-facing camera. The handset will be running Android 4.0 ICS and compatible with the Sprint 4G LTE network. Lastly, those looking for the big picture, here is the full breakdown;
